I refer to Janet Walker’s letter (23 August).
She believes that racists will vote ‘No’ in the upcoming referendum on the Voice. Ms Walker is obviously far too decent to know any racists, if any even live in Goonengerry.
Racists believe people with Australian indigenous genetic heritage are inherently inferior to people of European heritage. They will be voting ‘Yes’ as they believe more advisory or other involvement, by people with Indigenous genetic and cultural heritage, in government policies seeking to ameliorate damage to those disadvantaged by the invasion and conquest of Australia will be detrimental both to the disadvantaged and to the regard of the general community towards the Indigenous population.
