I wonder if those Councillors and Council staff who think it is a good idea to put more houses on the coastal floodplain around Mullumbimby, despite last year’s flood, have been watching what has happened on the coastal floodplain around Cairns in the last couple of weeks? These events are not as rare as they used to be, or as some people would like them to be.
