A search is underway for a swimmer last seen at a Lennox Head yesterday.
At about 3.20pm (Sunday, 24 December), emergency services were called to Main Beach at Lennox Head, following reports a man was seen in distress in the water before failing to resurface.
Officers attached to Richmond Police District arrived and immediately commenced a search for the man.
The search involved local police as well as Surf Lifesavers, Marine Rescue NSW, and a rescue helicopter.
Police are appealing for anyone who might have seen the man around this time, he is described as being of Caucasian appearance with brown hair. At this point in time, no one has been reported missing to police.
