Lello’s Pasta Bar is renowned for their award-winning seasonal menus.

Lello’s Pasta Bar is a family owned and operated Italian restaurant located in the small unspoilt coastal village of Brunswick Heads. Niccolo and Gian Maria took over Park St. Pasta Bar in late 2018 and since then they have undergone two renovations and a complete rebranding. Now known as Lello’s, which is the nickname of their youngest brother, they hope to continue growing, learning, and expanding in the paradise of the Northern Rivers over the coming years.

They are known for specialising in homemade pasta using organic unprocessed flour and free-range eggs, with gluten-free and vegan options available. Head Chef, Filippo Ongaro, and Manager, Gian Maria, plan and create the menu, which changes according to the seasons’ best available local produce, with new specials every week or for a few weeks depending on what’s in season and what they can purchase at the highest quality. Filippo has raised the standard of the dishes since taking over position of head chef over a year ago. His keen eye for detail, and vast experience in the kitchen both in Australia, and in Europe, has led him to become a valued asset to the team at Lello’s.

For over two years now they have transitioned from B.Y.O to being fully licensed, with an exceptional range of Australian and international wines.  There is something for everyone, including, but not limited to, a beautiful range of skin contact/orange wine and a multitude of reds, ranging from Italian Chianti to Barolo. Not to mention their ever-popular list of white wines, and top-shelf bubbles. They are also known for their high-quality cocktails, including everyone’s favourites (such as margarita, lychee martini, and whiskey sour) along with a range of their own signature cocktails unique to Lello’s.

Lello’s Pasta Bar is renowned for its indoor/outdoor distinctive atmosphere, quality, friendly service and, of course, their award-winning seasonal menus. Their Mediterranean-style menu features a collaboration of both unique signature dishes, and crowd favourite dishes from Italy, including their beetroot ravioli, handmade gnocchi, the pappardelle boscaiola, and their famous arancini. They pride themselves on the level of excellence that their team provides, both in the kitchen, and at front of house, and the consistency with which they deliver that level of service.

Restaurant Manager Gian Maria, aka Jimmy, has been a huge part in the success of the restaurant over the past few years. He navigated and led the team through the challenges of COVID-19, which many hospitality venues did not survive. Since he took over management, the restaurant has seen a large increase in sales and profit, and team morale – which always makes a positive difference! The reviews online are all a reflection of the hard work and dedication Jimmy has poured into the business over the past few years.

You can use the updated website and social media platforms to easily navigate and manage your booking online – but for bookings larger than eight you are encouraged to email or call and the crew will be more than happy to talk you through their set menu options for large group bookings. In addition, they offer gift vouchers that can be bought over the phone, or in the restaurant if you drop by. Gift vouchers make the perfect anniversary or birthday gift for that special someone.

Lello’s Pasta Bar ‘is the place where good food and family come together to create memories and beautiful experiences. The restaurant and bar offer the best fresh homemade pasta and signature cocktails in the Byron Shire, so ‘come in, say ciao, and let us spoil you,’ they say!
