Animal Ventura is the brainchild of Brazilian-born, Byron Bay-based singer-songwriter Fernando Aragones. His last release ‘All The Love We Knew’ is a soulful blend of coastal-folk, with a pulsing drumbeat and simple yet elegant guitar riffs – all topped by Fernando’s signature soothing vocals and meaningful lyrics. Recorded late summer 2019/20 in Lennox Head, the track was produced and recorded by Grant Gerathy (John Butler Trio, Ray Mann Three, Pete Murray) and mixed and mastered by George Georgiadis (Gang of Youths, Last Dinosaurs, Kim Churchill). It’s the first official release since his 2017 ‘Forrest Street’, a timeless 8-track record displaying an array of influences, digging from his cultural and funky origins in South America to the laidback alternative folk from the Australian coast.
See the Animal on Sunday at the North Byron Hotel from 12.30pm.
