A local photographer has shot a marooned yacht at Flat Rock, in Ballina Shire.
It’s the second boat to be washed ashore in recent months – In early May, WYUNA 1 washed ashore in Byron Shire near Elements of Byron, with the owner unable to afford its recovery. A GoFundMe has been set up.
Markus Pache wrote, ‘Flat Rock tonight – rising tide and Milky Way with yacht Gonea Way in the foreground. Very sorry for the owner James – hoping he will manage to salvage his boat/home and get all the assistance he needs!’ Markus suggested selling digital copies (and print themselves) – for $10, ‘with full proceeds going to the owner of the boat”.
