
Not-for-profit national cycling advocacy group, Bicycle Network, who promote good health through movement and saving the planet by not burning fossil fuels, held their annual Super Sunday event on the weekend.
Cyclist Foaad, who rode his pushy from Ocean Shores to Brunswick Heads and back, was one of 16 cyclists, six e-bike riders, 90 pedestrians – including five with dogs and three with prams – four joggers and two scooters, to pass by the surveyors over three hours at the Ocean Village Shopping Centre.
Statistics gathered by the national bike count at 300 sites around Australia, over more than 40 council areas, will be used by local councils to inform decision-making around active transport projects.
