Recipients of the 2024-2025 Mayoral Fund have been announced, valued at $18,142.
Mayor Sarah Ndiaye said she was ‘overwhelmed by the response to a call-out for applications for this year’s fund’.
The recipients of the 2024-2025 Mayoral Fund are: Mullumbimby Chamber of Commerce (Carols by Candlelight); Drill Hall Theatre (new microphones); Byron Youth Service (upgrading signage); Bangalow Quilters (wadding for quilts); Bangalow Public School (three scholarship awards); Shara Community Gardens (activities and garden bed maintenance); Hinterland Christian College (arts award program); Mullumbimby High School P&C (education garden); Ocean Shores Public School (healthy eating program); Ocean Shores Public School P&C (wetlands landcare project).
‘The Mayoral Fund is about supporting community and these projects are all about bringing people together in meaningful ways, through the arts, education, nature and compassion,’ Mayor Ndiaye said.
