Lismore City Council has launched the ‘Local Legends’ campaign, inviting visitors to rediscover the region and show their support for the businesses that give Lismore its unique charm.
Council says the campaign celebrates the strength of local businesses and highlights the inspiring stories of community spirit that continue to shape the region in the wake of Cyclone Alfred.
Lismore Mayor Steve Krieg said, ‘This campaign is all about shining a spotlight on the local businesses that truly are the backbone of our community. We encourage everyone, locals and visitors alike, to get behind our local legends.
‘Whether it’s grabbing a coffee, browsing local stores, booking a service or event or visiting for a day trip, every little bit helps in keeping Lismore’s business community strong and thriving.’
Vital role
Karen Hirst, Lismore City Council’s Destination Coordinator, emphasised the vital role these businesses play in the community.
‘Lismore is home to a diverse mix of businesses, from boutique shops and dining experiences to vibrant galleries and those hosting unique local events. These businesses define the essence of our destination, creating the character and atmosphere that makes Lismore a welcoming and vibrant community,’ she said.
‘Now is the perfect time to explore our stunning region, enjoy its natural beauty and support our local legends. Our hotels are welcoming guests, our businesses are buzzing and we’ve got some exciting events lined up.’
Promoted across social media platforms, the ‘Local Legends’ campaign will target both regional and interstate audiences.
