Around 7pm yesterday (Tuesday 18 November) the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance on an urgent inter-hospital transfer from Maclean Hospital to Gold Coast University Hospital.
A young child, suffering a serious medical condition, was stabilised by hospital staff and the NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic and a NSW Health doctor from the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to Southport.
