A 47-year-old Ocean Shores man is to face court today charged with arson.
Tweed Byron police said they arrested and charged the man on 1 November after fire destroyed a vehicle and surrounding trees in Ocean Shores.
A search warrant at a nearby residence reportedly led to the police seizure of items relevant to the investigation.
The accused man has had bail refused pending his court appearance today.
Woman accused of attacking police with gardening tool
Meanwhile, a 39-year-old Yelgun woman is to appear at the Mullumbimby Local Court next month, charged with hindering and assaulting police after attacking them with a gardening implement on 2 November.
She is due to face court on 3 December.
An 18-year-old Possum Creek man is to appear at Byron Bay Local Court on 8 December charged with recklessly causing grievous bodily harm.
Police said they arrested him on 30 October, more than four months after his alleged perpetration of a serious assault in Byron Bay on 21 June.
Officers thanked members of the community who they said helped with the investigation after the matter was subject to a media release and appeal for public information.
