A 51-year-old woman is to face court in February after allegedly stealing food from a shop in Lismore’s city centre and biting the shop owner when confronted.
The woman is alleged to have run from the store after the altercation on 23 December without paying for the goods.
Police say they obtained CCTV footage and later found the woman behind Lismore’s Keen Street.
Officers arrested her in possession of the goods and say she started to ‘kick out’ and resist arrest before they were able to take her to Lismore Police Station.
She is due to face Lismore Local Court on 2 February 2026.
