Emergency services helicoptered to a man in his seventies near Ewingsdale after he fell from a ladder a few days before Christmas.
A report from the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service said the man received critical care for chest and hip injuries after the fall on the morning of Sunday 21 December.
Paramedics responded to the call-out around 8am before taking the patient to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
