Officers from the Richmond Police District have accused him of domestic violence offences, causing injuries and fear to the victim.

He is alleged to have unlawfully entered the victim’s residence, harassed her with more than 90 calls and 30 texts, then crashed his car while intoxicated.

He was subsequently charged with domestic violence common assault as well as for resisting and assaulting police causing actual bodily harm.

He has since faced Lismore Local Court where he was sentenced on 22 December to fifteen months’ imprisonment, with a non-parole period of nine months.

Domestic violence apprehended violence orders breaches accounted for 17.5% of arrests in the same period, as did stalking and/or intimidation.
