The rebuilt Tweed Heads Croquet Club, located at 39 Recreation St, was officially opened today (Thursday).
In a media release, Tweed Shire Council said, ‘Founded in 1949, the clubhouse was rebuilt after the devastating 2022 floods inundated the building and weakened its structure’.
‘The new improved clubhouse features flood resistant design features like epoxy flooring, as well as a new modern kitchen, covered area and accessible parking bay.
The ribbon cutting was held at 10am, and featured Janelle Saffin, NSW Minister for Recovery and Minister for North Coast; Geoff Provest, State Member for Tweed; Tweed Shire Deputy Mayor Reece Byrnes and TSC Manager Parks & Active Communities; and Murray Smith Janet Ahrens, President of Tweed Heads Croquet Club along wth other club members.
