Winter Warmer Kinship Doobai Dancers

We can’t solve the lack of social housing investment, or magically make emergency accommodation appear, but we can help alleviate suffering and bring warmth and comfort to people coping in truly awful situations.

Mandy Nolan, The Space Cowboy and the Kinship Doobai Dancers are headlining a Winter Warmer evening of comedy, cabaret, art and dance – plus candid conversations with the Dharma Care campaign’s charity partners — raising vital funds for people facing homelessness across Byron and Tweed Shires.

Dharma Care will bring its annual Winter Warmer Homelessness Relief campaign to life with a fundraising cabaret at Salt, Kingscliff on Thursday, 2 July. This event is the centrepiece of this year’s campaign.

Guests will be welcomed with winter-warming canapés before settling in for a cabaret show MC’d by celebrated comedian Mandy Nolan, featuring world-renowned interactive artist and performer The Space Cowboy and a vibrant showcase from the Kinship Doobai Dancers, opening with a Welcome to Country from Aunty Jackie.

Tickets include canapés, the full cabaret show and a small contribution to the Winter Warmer 2026 campaign, with a full bar available, raffle and live art auction running throughout the night.

Guests will also hear directly from the campaign’s four charity partners in conversation with Mandy Nolan, sharing first-hand insight into the impact of community support on the ground in Byron and Tweed.

We know from people that have  beeb helped over the years by the Winter Warmer, that they felt supported, valued, safer, and less alone.

If you are a local business owner help us and in turn we help you. All The Echo asks for is advertising, not a free ride. It is every advert in The Echo and on www.echo.net.au, which creates the space for all the stories and coverage of community events, happenings and concerns.

If you are a reader you can become a sponsor of The Echo. Your support keeps the us independent.

Even a small one-off or regular donation from you will help keep the echo’s independent voice alive and strong.
