Israel’s genocide of the Palestinians has not ended and it will not end before Israel officially renounces its intention to exterminate or expel the Palestinians, and annihilate any possibility of a Palestinian state. It’s precisely this intention, repeatedly expressed by Israeli leaders, that has led to criminal indictments against Israel’s prime minister and senior cabinet ministers by the ICC, as well as the ongoing proceedings against Israel under the Genocide Convention at the ICJ.
The abduction, humiliation and abuse of civilians from all over the world who joined the Sumud Flotilla to deliver aid to the besieged inhabitants of Gaza, demonstrates the Zionist regime’s hatred and contempt for the rest of the world and the sort of crimes it’s willing to commit to maintain its illegal occupation of Palestine and erase a nation of people who have lived on that land for countless generations, since long before the arrival of European Jews.
These Zionist zealots have trashed their brand and if Israel wants to restore its standing on the world stage, it will have to reform itself in line with international laws and the norms that normal nations respect. It needs to remove the indicted war criminals and violent extremists that currently occupy its government and replace them with civil, rational and humane individuals capable of reforming the Israeli state so it can live in peace with the people of the region and the world.
