The all day Love Lennox Festival returns Saturday, 13 June, with organisers saying they expect more than 10,000 attendees to gather across town for one of the region’s most loved community events.
Organisers say, ‘Running from sunrise through to 5pm, the festival will feature live music across multiple stages, surfing, skating, dancing, a classic car show, local market stalls, family entertainment, food vendors and activities spread throughout the town centre’.
‘Ballina Street will once again close to traffic, creating a vibrant pedestrian-friendly festival atmosphere that encourages visitors to explore local cafés, restaurants, retail stores and community spaces.
‘The festival precinct will stretch across Ballina Street, Lennox Park, Ross Park and surrounding areas, creating a walkable village-style event celebrating the culture, creativity and community spirit of Lennox Head.
‘The Lennox Stage in Lennox Park, proudly supported by Toyota Ballina, Lennox Hotel and Surfit, will open with the Dogly Fun Show at 8:30am, followed by a full day of live entertainment including Sam Buckley & Band, JB’s Blues Breakers, Lily-Grace Grant, The Mumblers and Pink Zinc. The Car Show, proudly supported by Alstonville Plateau Landscaping and Natures Décor, will once again bring a large display of classic and unique vehicles into the heart of town. The Ross Park Stage, proudly supported by McGrath, Clarence Property, Epic Market Centre and Lennox Luxury Homes, will focus on youth and family entertainment, including Joel Salom & Erik the Robot Dog, Bunny Racket and DJ Cam.

Busking stage
‘A dedicated busking stage, supported by Ocean Air Electrical, will showcase local musicians and performers throughout the day. Families can also enjoy the Kids Activities Area, supported by Reflections, featuring activities including a petting zoo and jumping castles.
‘Ballina Street and surrounding festival areas will be closed to vehicle traffic during the festival period to allow safe pedestrian movement and event operations.
Organisers strongly encourage visitors to use the free shuttle bus operating between Ballina and Lennox Head from 8am to 5.45pm. The service is designed to reduce traffic congestion and make it easier for locals and visitors to move between towns throughout the day. Businesses and residents within affected areas have received traffic and access information directly from organisers.
‘The festival is also taking a major leap forward in its commitment to the environment this year, with the introduction of a suite of eco-friendly initiatives designed to reduce event waste. Heading up these changes is the festival’s newly appointed Sustainability Officer, a role dedicated entirely to implementing green practices and tracking the event’s environmental footprint.

‘This year, 15 food and beverage vendors will utilise a dedicated on-site wash station, replacing fibre-based packaging and single-use coffee cups with reusable alternatives. This initiative alone is projected to divert up to 10,000 single-use items from landfill.
‘The reusable container initiative is proudly supported by major sponsor Ballina RSL. In another festival first, organic waste will be diverted from landfill through the introduction of FOGO (Food Organics and Garden Organics) bins across the site. By composting food scraps rather than sending them to landfill, the festival aims to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
‘The 2026 Love Lennox Festival will also serve as a benchmark for future sustainability efforts. Organisers will collect baseline data throughout the day to generate a formal Sustainability Impact Report. The data will help analyse performance, measure emissions saved and create a roadmap for further environmental improvements in future years.
‘Love Lennox Festival is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit community event delivered by the local chamber, Business Lennox Head, with support from Ballina Shire Council, sponsors, local businesses and community partners. The festival continues to focus on supporting local business participation while creating a welcoming and family-friendly experience for residents and visitors alike,’ say organisers.
