Northern Rivers Animal Services Inc are hoping the sun will be out for their monthly adoption day on Saturday 4 July at the NRAS Rescue Shelter in Ballina.
The volunteers say there are some beautiful animals available for adoption, including the various feline personalities of Romeo, Luna Moon and Spencer or the sweet and gentle staffy, Rusty.

There’s also Lucky, the lovable six-month-old playful pup with a gentle soul.
Hydro-bathing, nail clipping and $15 microchipping services will be available on the adoption day, along with warm winter doggie coats in sizes extra small to extra large.
You can’t buy love, but you can rescue it
All profiles of the animals in NRAS’ care can be viewed on their website at www.nras.org.au.
People are reminded that all animals are vet checked, parasite treated, vaccinated, microchipped and desexed prior to adoption.
Adoptions can also take place outside of the monthly adoption day, so people looking to adopt a furry friend should still keep an eye on NRAS’ website.

You can download and complete an adoption questionnaire if you’re interested in meeting a particular animal.
For any further information, call the shelter on weekdays between 10am and 4:00pm on 6681 1860, or email: [email protected].
The NRAS Shelter can be found at 61 Piper Drive, Ballina. The Adoption Day on Saturday will be running from 10am until 1pm.
