Southbound lanes have reopened on the M1 Pacific Motorway, Tyagarah (north of Byron Bay), near Grays Lane after semi trailer truck caught fire overnight.
According to Transport Accident Report – Australia Wide, a southbound lane closed after a truck caught fire yesterday at 8:49pm. Emergency crews brought the blaze under control over the following six hours.
NSW RFS – Mullumbimby Brigade gave an update at 3.15am, saying, ‘Our crew has now left the scene, however it is still single lane while salvage crews clean up the site and remove the trailers’.
The road was fully reopened at 6.35am, say Transport Accident Report – Australia Wide.
