The 742-residential-lot subdivision on Sleeping Lizard – Banyam Biagham (the North Lismore Plateau) was again discussed yesterday at a L&EC conciliation meeting.

On Thursday 15 December, it took the four panellists on the Northern Regional Planning Panel less than half an hour, to unanimously decline the Development Application for the northern section of the North Lismore Plateau also known as The Sleeping Lizard.

The development of 742 residential lots, two neighbourhood business lots (super lots), one residue lot (future residential) and 45 new roads on the North Lismore Plateau has been recommended for refusal by the Lismore City Council assessment.

One of the big issues at last night's Lismore Council meeting was a motion to revisit the last Council's resolution to allow the owners of the land called the Sleeping Lizard to 'own' it on white fella's terms.
