Southern Cross University celebrated 20 years as a university at the weekend with a range of activities including a fashion show.
The day included live music, a visual arts exhibition, a health and lifestyle precinct, campus tours, kids activities and twenty talks for twenty years.
But the most colourful activity by far was the Fashion Flash parade held in the Concert Hall in D Block.
SCU lecturer Denise Rail, who is a costumier, joined forces with South Lismore fashion designer Jeht Burgoyne, who operates Flourish Design Studios.
With the theme, Wearable Art, models wore Ms Rail’s vests, coats and costumes made from recycled material scraps, while Ms Burgoyne provided the skirts and other accessories.
Meanwhile, SCU’s Alumnus of the Year were named as Benedict Coyne and Lisa Charet, while the Alumnus of the Past 20 years was Elizabeth Cosson (absent).
