The Echo reports ‘fury’ over the federal government’s failure to fund the rail trail.
I recall fury when government refusal to fund maintenance closed rail services in 2004.
The argument by Mike Ackrell (from Lismore Chamber of Commerce) that ‘the economic benefits are greater than what they have to pay’ also apply to rail.
It seems the argument that rail is not coming back because it can’t pay for itself also applies to the trail.
