Northern Rivers Community Gallery is raising funds to support its travelling exhibition program – in the nicest possible way.

A few dollars changes hands and you get to hear one of the best jazz voices on the Northern Rivers – Shelly Brown – in a special show at the gallery itself this coming Sunday, August 14.

It’s said you should experience Shelly’s mesmerising vocals at least once in your life –and those who have keep coming back for more.

Shelly’s jazz band features stunning rhythm and deep groove. The set will build from intimate and poetic to a powerfully heartfelt alchemy of soul music.

Shelly’s band for this performance will be the amazing Thierry Fossemalle on bass, the powerful Pete Wilkins on drums, and the delightful Dan Brown on keys.

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.
