Menacing dog declaration revoked

After an emotional deputation from the owner of the dog involved, Ballina Shire Council has this morning revoked a menacing dog declaration for the kelpie Lilo, which was brought into effect following a bite in July 2022.

Police are investigating the theft of seven cattle worth $7000 and a bulldozer worth $150,000 that were stolen in recent weeks.

The bulldozer was taken from a property on Busbys Flat between 10 and 19 August.

It was described as a Caterpillar D5NXL.

In a separate incident, seven Hereford cows were stolen from a Duck Creek property at Old Bonalbo in early July.

Each cow had a branding on their rumps which were two A’s with 
a horizontal bar on top of both of the A’s.
