Wollongbar-Alstonville beat Ballina 51–27 on the weekend to book a place in the Far North Caost rugby union grand final.
Ballina had the wind to their backs in the first half at Crozier Park in Lismore and went to the break leading 20–19.
‘We needed a few more points on the board before we turned to run into the wind,’ coach Chris Hickey said.
‘We left some points in the park in the first half,’ he said.
