Police are investigating a fatal crash near Grafton at about 10:30am today (Monday 26 September 2016).
Emergency services were called to a collision between a truck and a car on the Gwydir Highway at Waterview and NSW Ambulance Paramedics attempted to assist the male driver of the car and a female passenger, however, both died at the scene.
Both persons are yet to be formally identified.
The driver of the truck was taken to hospital for treatment and mandatory testing.
Officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command are at the scene and have commenced an investigation.
