In the two short years since graduating, Spanish-born Jaime Gonzalez has opened a local independent film production company that now boasts a client base that reads like a who’s who in the street/surf fashion world.
The young agency is called Flamingo Amigos, and others on the team are Oscar Fernandez and Olga Blanco.
Landing the fashionable street label Afends was a game changer, says Jaime.
‘Tasked with developing content for their biggest campaign to date, the videos we created racked up more than more than 250,000 views in less than a week,’ he says.
This was their big breakthrough, he says. From that point on he says his agency had street cred, having proved they could execute a big production for a big-name client.
‘From day one of my studies at SAE, I knew I wanted to have my own creative agency, so I decided to use the assessments as opportunities to work towards that goal.
‘I would go to class with questions that my lecturers would then help me take to the next level to shape my business in the right direction, thanks to the advice from the SAE staff.’
