A woman has died following a single-vehicle crash at Stratheden, about 20km north-west of Casino, this morning (Wednesday, June 27).
Just after 9am, emergency services were called to Stratheden Road, where officers from Richmond Police District found a car had crashed into a tree.
The driver, a woman believed to be aged in her 40s, died at the scene. She has not been formally identified.
The other occupant of the vehicle, a girl, was not injured. Her age is not known at this stage.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Tyalgum rescue underway
The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter was tasked at around 2pm Wednesday to a single-vehicle collision near Tyalgum.
Two occupants have been reported as trapped, with the vehicle two metres down an embankment.
