Part-time wombat (honorary) and Australian author Jackie French is doing an all-ages story time at Byron Library this Monday, January 21 at 11am.
Famous for her Diary of a Wombat Jackie is also a historian and an ecologist and writes for adults, young adults and small humans.
With over 200 books under her belt Jackie has still found time to build a house and power system, plant thousands of trees, study wombats and eat plenty of dark chocolate.
As a dyslexic Jackie is also the patron of a number of literacy programmes across Australia, still can’t spell, was the 2014–15 Australian Children’s Laureate and 2015 Senior Australian of the Year.
