The aluminium foil lighthouse sculpture shows just how out of touch the present Byron Shire councillors are. When will Council realise the towns are crying out for basic infrastructure maintenance and cleaning?
The road network is beyond dangerous, bus shelters were removed in Suffolk Park and Broken Head Road months ago and not replaced. A double-bed mattress has been left on main beach for weeks and the beach showers and bubblers are green with slime.
I say to Council no more bright ideas – just start looking after our Shire better.
