A Lismore resident or visitor to the region has become a millionaire after winning $1 million in last night’s Monday and Wednesday Lotto draw – they just haven’t realised yet!

The million-dollar winning ticket was purchased at Goonellabah Newsagency, Shop 3, Goonellabah Village Shopping Centre, 1 Simeoni Drive, Goonellabah.

The entry was not registered with the Players Club card, so NSW Lotteries officials have no way of contacting the winner.

Goonellabah Newsagency team member Jayne Virtue said she was thrilled to hear they’d sold another division one winning entry.

‘I think we can definitely claim to be a lucky newsagency. We only sold another division one winning entry last year in August,’ she exclaimed.

‘We are so excited to be on a winning streak and we hope our latest winner comes forward and checks their ticket soon.’

The winning numbers in Monday and Wednesday Lotto draw 3837 on Wednesday 23 January 2019 were 36, 3, 6, 16, 21, and 9 while the supplementary numbers were 34 and 41.

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.
