The rain may be causing havoc on the roads but with 130mm falling overnight in the Rocky Creek Dam catchment area the dam started overflowing this morning.
‘We expect restrictions to be lifted this afternoon,’ said Chair of Rous County Council, Keith Williams.
Tweed Shire Council lifted their water restrictions three days ago following rainfall of 200mm in the catchment area for the Clarrie Hall Dam.
