I am writing as coordinator of a longstanding Byron Bay book club who were meeting monthly at the Byron@Byron Resort, and currently via Zoom. The vast majority of the members rely on our wonderful library service to access their books. We want to thank the Byron Bay library staff for their innovative and safe approach that enables library patrons to access books they have ordered.
Once again, they have gone above and beyond to keep us avid readers supplied and happy. At the moment they are waiving the minimal administration fee usually payable when a book is collected. I would like to encourage library patrons to actually run up a tab, and pay when the library reopens, as libraries are invariably strapped for funds. Again, heartfelt thanks to you all.
