Fast Buck$, Coorabell
My vast system of leakers tells me that there’s been much angst and finger pointing among The Greens as to who has been leaking and to what end.
Considering that only weeks ago Simon Richardson ruled that The Greens were a private organisation, which it was inappropriate to discuss in public access at Council, I was quite surprised to see Sarah Ndiaye doing her own leaking to the press.
She informed us that only 129 party members voted in the pre-selection process (that’s right: 129 people have decided who our next mayor is likely to be). And that Jan Barham also previously benefitted from affirmative action, thus making it okay for Sarah herself to benefit.
Come on Sarah; Jan was bumped up as a first-time candidate for the Upper House, as a leg-up. You, on the other hand, seek to benefit, once again, even though the next male candidate (Matthew O’Reilly) beat you by 42 votes. A thumping reversal for you and Mr Richardson. Okay, so after preferences he only beat you by seven votes.
