Avid readers from Richmond to the Tweed are (quietly) rejoicing today with the reopening of local libraries following a lengthy closure owing to COVID 19.

The libraries will continue to be widely available online including the ability to access eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines.
Online pre-recorded programs such as Storytime, which are accessible on Facebook and on the library’s YouTube channel, will continue.
Online author events will also continue in the Regional Readers Book Club Facebook group.
The library will be operating at reduced hours, and there will be reduced opportunities to use internet facilities and work stations.
Contact your library branch for more information or view the branch information.

For four decades The Echo has printed the stories some people loved, some people hated, and some pretended not to read. If you want us to keep telling the truth, the real truth, not the sugar-coated version. We’ll need your support to keep the presses rolling.
