A brief note appended to Mungo’s column last week advised that he was too ill to continue working. His swansong was, as always, sharp, insightful and humorous. On the Pearls and Irritations blog, a final, poignant missive explained: ‘I am rapidly winding down’. Go well Mungo, we’ll miss you.
