Herewith my response to David Heilpern’s opinion piece in The Echo of 30 March.
I can understand his frustrations at having to leave his car in the floods and with the lack of WiFi in Mullum for a few days. It was not an easy time all round for the residents of Mullumbimby. However, I was so grateful to learn about the destruction of the 5G tower.
How dare they hide behind the flooding disaster and install this behind people’s backs when they know that the majority of residents in the area are against it!
I’d like to extend heartfelt thanks to the bravery and gumption of those who did this deed.
