The section from the bus stop on Lighthouse Road to the divide of the road to Byron Bay, is totally unacceptable. It’s putrid for prams, for walkers, for tourists, for runners, for everyone.
I don’t need a perfect footpath or lights or anything fancy. I just need 200 metres of bitumen laid for walkers on what is one of Byron’s biggest attractions. How can it be so bad for so long?
My family have resided in the Northern Rivers region for over 40 years and I know I am a no-one in this world but I witnessed a lady pushing a pram trip over on the rocks then almost get collected by a car today. It would have caused a certain fatality if contact was made.
That 200m strip is in an unacceptable state and needs some bitumen laid.
Walk it yourself and tell me I’m wrong.
