The Vagina Conversations took to the stage on Valentine’s Day for their first show at the Brunswick Picture House.
‘The energy of the first night was electrifying,’ said Elle Marinucci, co-founder of The Darling Muffs of May, who was one of the women telling her story.
‘The community came together to laugh, cry and share the full spectrum of emotions while celebrating local women who shared their experiences. It felt surreal to be sharing deep personal experiences that once held shame. The ultimate release to be sharing them alongside other powerful women, and to be collectively celebrated by the community, it felt very liberating.’
Extra night
The sellout show will run tonight and Friday night and because of the high demand for tickets, they have decided to put on an extra final show this Sunday at 4pm.
‘The show will start at Clittail Hour,’ said Creator and MC, Zenith Virago.
There will be a few changes to the show due to the last-minute arrangements.
‘After years of sellout performances this diverse collective of some of Byron Shire’s powerful, creative women and people with vaginas, present personal, professional or political stories to inform, educate, entertain, and support,’ explained Zenith.
