A man swimming in Byron Bay on the weekend was airlifted to the Gold Coast University Hospital, rescuers said.
The man in his 60s was reportedly suffering a serious medical condition around 9am Saturday, with no further details provided.
Paramedics and a critical care team from the Westpac Rescue Helicopter critical care medical team treated the man on-scene before flying him to hospital.
