
Rous Public School in Goonellabah has just 90 students – yet is overflowing with sporting talent.
The NSW Education Department’s media liaison officer said, ‘For the fourth year in a row, its soccer team has qualified for the Small Schools Football Knockout finals, once again, placing in the top four in the state in its division’.
‘Finals will be held on Wednesday September 25.
‘This year, success in one sport was not enough.
‘Rous’s netball team has also qualified for the state finals in Sydney. The team is made up of mixed ages (years 3–6), boys and girls, and ability (some had never played netball before)’.
