I would agree with Simon Alderton of Ballina that wearing a helmet is an individual choice, except for the fact that everybody pays financially, and family and friends pay in other ways, if someone sustains a major head injury.
To Simon and others who choose not to wear a helmet, again I have no problem if you are fully committed to your choice and wear a wristband stating ‘in case of head injury that could have been prevented, please just take me home to recuperate using my own resources’.
Exceptions are allowed for children who of course are not exercising their own choice.
