The Tweed Heads mother of a young man killed in a recent car accident is appealing for public assistance to help cover memorial service costs and to help them through their grief while they take time from work.
She wrote, “Hi my name is Michelle, honouring the life of my youngest son, Chace”.
“With broken hearts, we are reaching out to share the devastating news that our beloved son Chace, passed away suddenly as a passenger in a tragic motor vehicle accident on 4th of May.
“He was only 18 years old a whole life ahead of him. Chace was a beacon of light in our lives, known for his love for the ocean, infectious smile, love for body boarding and loved by his friends and family .
“His unexpected departure from our lives has left our family shattered and facing unimaginable grief. As we try to navigate this impossible time, we are faced with significant unexpected financial pressures while we are taking time off work.
“Many have asked how they can help; in lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to help cover these expenses, allowing us to focus on healing as a family.
“Funds will be used for memorial service costs, immediate living expenses/bills while taking time off to grieve and prepare for his funeral.
“Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page would mean the world to us. Thank you so much for your love, support, and prayers during our darkest time.
