Celebrating its tenth year, the Brunswick Picture House personifies ‘A Church for All People’, in its packed, eclectic and biggest ever program. The next few weeks and months bring a throng of music superstars, a gang of Australia’s hottest comedians, and plenty of jaw-dropping burlesque beauties to blow your minds.

Leading the pack is the perfect tonic to cast away your winter blues: the smash hit Bruns Does Winter Burlesque is back for a three-week season featuring a massive new line-up and hosted by the Prince of Polyester himself, Bob Downe!

It’s all tease and no sleaze, from Thursday, 2 July to Sunday, 19 July.

Best known for the rollicking Rockwiz on telly, Brian Nankervis presents the big-hearted, nostalgic, theatrical one-man show, The Beach House Years on Saturday and Sunday, 27 and 28 June.

If you’re looking for something to distract the kids these upcoming school holidays, look no further than the funtastic circus extravaganza Lil’ Cheeky on Sunday, 18 July; and a brand new magic and juggling show from the Shire’s own Yoav and Tal Shemesh, Two Truths and a Lie on Saturday, 12 July.

It’s one superstar after another in the Picture House’s dazzling live music program: nostalgia, storytelling and soul from Dylan Wright this Friday; guitar prodigy Alexandr Misko on Sunday (sold-out); Rieble, Tedesco, McGill, the new collaboration between flamenco guitarist Richard Tedesco and The Cat Empire’s Felix Riebl and Ollie McGill on Saturday, 25 July; the much-loved chart-topper Lior on Saturday, 29 August; a 25-year celebration of Watching Angels Mend from Alex Lloyd on Saturday, 17 October; and an unmissable unplugged celebration The Grunge Show presents MTV Unplugged Live on Friday, 21 August.

Ever wonder why the Brunswick Picture House hosts so many stars of stand-up? The reputation of the Bruns audiences has spread like wildfire amongst the comedy world and they’re all clamouring to perform here at the Picture House, the home of comedy in the Shire – brace yourself for the smorgasbord of jokesters coming through: Taskmaster Australia star Tom Cashman on Saturday, 20 June; the reigning champion of cheerful comedy, Kirsty Webeck on Wednesday, 8 July; the incomparable Bron Lewis on Saturday, 1 August (sold-out); the equally hilarious and distasteful Nick Cody on Thursday, 13 August; the ridiculously funny Ray O’Leary on Saturday, 12 September; multi-award-winning Dan Rath on Friday, 30 October; and the unflinchingly honest Daniel Muggleton on Saturday, 7 November.
