Trump’s recent statement that he may invade Iran and capture the oil raises the distinct possibility, that the Strait of Hormuz may remain closed for another year or two: everything is at stake here.

Our civilization is completely dependent upon diesel fuel. In the wars with Russia and Iran, pipelines and refineries are being targeted; strategic reserves have been largely depleted.

Commercial food production and transport require diesel fuel, if we don’t have enough of it then our cities won’t have enough food.

If our cities don’t have enough food, what do you expect? First one would see rioting, eventually their could be a complete loss or law and order, even a massive out-migration.

There needs to be a committee set up immediately, to solve the following problem: ‘how to produce and transport large quantities of fresh food in Australia, without using diesel fuel’. Electric prime movers, designed to tow semi-trailers, are now being sold in Australia, but large farm tractors still require diesel. Every politician should be demanding the immediate, fast-tracked construction of fuel refineries in Australia: failure to do so could result in Australia becoming a failed state.
