Twenty-six-year-old Lismore professional golfer Rhein Gibson has set a new world record when he hit 16-under-par 55 at the River Oaks Golf Club in Oklahoma on Saturday.
The Aussie has spent recent years in the US and was playing in the Golfweek National Pro Tour when he made the incredible run of birdies – six of the last seven shots.
His ambition is to play the PGA tournament and with this recent score he’s on track to do so.
