A massive fire broke out in Uki’s historic Mount Warning Hotel on Saturday night. The old timber building exploded into flames at about 11pm and firefighters were on the ground soon after. But despite a massive effort, the fire – which started in an electricity box on a wooden internal staircase – gutted the entire upper floor before it could be brought under control.
