A free family-friendly community celebration for World Environment Day will be held on Sunday, 7 June, at the Murwillumbah Showgrounds from 10am till 3pm.
Organised by Tweed Landcare Inc. and Caldera Environment Centre, they described the event as a climate-focused festival, which ‘aligns with the United Nations’ 2026 theme: climate action and seeking solutions for a safer, resilient, and sustainable future’.
Organisers say, ‘This year’s free festival includes solar-powered festival entertainment – supported by Southern Cross University’s Sunflower Solar Trailer – and brings together many local environmental organisations, cultural leaders, scientists, and artists to inspire community-led climate resilience’.
