Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man, last known to be in Murwillumbah on March 3.
Patrik Merl, 28 years of age is a Hungarian national, who has been travelling around Australia since February 2012.
Merl is travelling alone and has all his possessions in a large backpack and was seen in Mt Isa Queensland in February this year.
Police hold concerns for his welfare as he has not made contact with his family or friends since November 8, 2012.
Mr Merl is described as Caucasian, 180cm tall, of a proportionate build, with a tanned complexion and short brown hair.
Anyone who may have seen Mr Merl since November 8 is urged to contact police.
